Profile & Philosophy

Starting with over a decade of experience in the beauty/ fashion industry, showroom design and business management, Purvi Padia started her namesake residential interior design firm in 2008. Combining her love and passion for the style inherent in New York City and her strong background in design, Purvi has grounded her interior design firm on the idea that residential luxury and style are not concrete ideas but rather creative works of art.

Her philosophy of merging modern and classic elements creates spaces that are aesthetically balanced, effortlessly elegant and have a sense of timeless luxury. Regardless of whether the space is a New York City townhouse, a sprawling loft or a vacation home, Purvi and her team are celebrated for their ability to evoke a sense of luxury and style while capitalizing on the best use of space. She prides herself on delivering projects that have a sense of self and reflect the values, aesthetics and taste of the client in their most beautiful and comprehensive interpretation.

Purvi earned her BA with honors from the University of Michigan, and later continued her education at the prestigious Parsons School of Design in the field of Interior Design. In addition to design, humanitarian work is another of Purvi’s passions. She is highly regarded in the NYC philanthropy community and sits on a number of non-profit boards including UNICEF USA. In 2018, Purvi partnered with UNICEF USA and founded PROJECT LION – an initiative which will serve over 200,000 orphans in 9 states in India with a multi-pronged approach combining both government efforts and NGOs in its first 3 years. The program will evaluate and elevate current standards of care to ensure that children without families are given basic human rights and the ability to thrive. In addition, LION will employ professionals in family reunification with the goal of finding permanent family care for as many children as possible. Purvi splits her time between Bridgehampton and NYC and lives with her husband, Harsh, and their two children.
